The Vermont Burlesque Festival’s Hot Summer Showcase Series comes to a conclusion on August 19, 2017 at ArtsRiot, with “A Mid Summer’s Tease,” the last showcase of the 3 day summer series touring Vermont this year. “A Mid Summer’s Tease” is also an opportunity for long time festival fans to get a sneak peek of what’s to come for the January 2018 festival. Announcements will be made, and bras as well as jaws will drop at this year's final summer performance. You won't want to miss all that will be revealed... Hosted by Luke Warm, this 90 minute burlesque and variety show promises to please, with scheduled performances by Scarlett James (Montreal), Minnie Tonka (New York City), Pepper Grinds (Cape Cod), Bibi Lolo BangBand (Montreal), Be a Trouble (Montpelier), and the Green Mountain Cabaret’s Sugar Shakers (Burlington), including Adora Bourbon, Ophelia Timber, Callista Rugo, and Alexa Luthor. The Vermont Burlesque Festival celebrates the local burlesque community and talent, offers continuing burlesque education and culture, introduces the greater Vermont community to culture and talent from outside of its borders, gives to breast cancer research, supports gender equality, and promotes health, wellness & “love your body” positivity. |
